During this week students will undertake a number of water sports coached by qualified instructors/lifeguards. A team of 10 staff also accompany the students on this trip. Students must be confident swimmers and be able to swim at least 100m.
We anticipate high demand for spaces on this trip and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, to those students who have paid their deposit. The cost of the trip will be £190. The cost includes all food, transport, instruction and use of equipment (wetsuit and surfboard). As in past years, students who have their own surf boards and wetsuits will be able to bring these for use during the trip.
The students will be camping at Trevedra Camp site, where we have stayed for a number of years. The owners provide us with our own field in which we camp. Having your own tent is not essential for this trip. It does, however, help if students who either have or whose family have access to tents are able to bring these and use with groups of their friends. Our surfing lessons will be with the Sennen Surfing Centre. We have to ask for payment for this trip on a voluntary basis. In reality, however, unless sufficient funds are collected to cover costs the trip will not run.
